Competencies for specialist processing

Competence for the integration of gender aspects into specialist work lies with department heads and clerical officers.
To do justice to GM as a cross-sectional task, gender equality must also at this point be included in the list of tasks as part of day-to-day specialist work.

Gender competence and knowledge about the strategy GM are relatively new demands on staff in government administration. So that staff can perform their task of integrating gender aspects into their specialist work, the level of process steering must provide adequate resources for the necessary training measures in GM. It also a good idea, however, to request integrated training concepts from the central training institute of the Federal Government (BaköV) and from the corresponding federal state institutes. The task of the level of specialist steering is to keep providing information on the necessity for training measures. The need for such measures, however, must be reported by department heads and requested by them.
It is only on the basis of such steering information that the people responsible for process steering can be able to carry out their range of tasks effectively and make the right decisions for successful implementation of GM. This shows how important good cooperation between the various levels of steering is for successful implementation of GM.
